His personal decisions regarding algorithms and content moderation, I believe, exert a more profound influence on global discourse than the pronouncements of most heads of state.
A Disgraceful Performance on Free Speech
It's my assessment that his repeated apologies to Congress concerning his platform's free speech policies are, frankly, a disgrace. This suggests a lack of conviction or perhaps a capitulation to external pressures that undermine the very principles his platform purports to uphold.
The Perilous Metaverse Gamble
His multi-billion dollar pivot towards the metaverse, under the Meta banner, strikes me as a colossal, potentially company-ending gamble. From what I can observe, the results thus far have been undeniably underwhelming. This aggressive redirection of resources raises serious questions about foresight and strategic execution.
A Misguided Vision for the Metaverse
Furthermore, I strongly believe his vision for the metaverse is fundamentally flawed. This centralized, corporate approach is, in my opinion, the antithesis of what the metaverse should represent. I envision the metaverse as something that should be open, decentralized, and built upon the foundational principles of Web3. His current direction seems to be moving away from this ideal.
