Conversely, I encounter a strong counterpoint that champions the idea of cultural exchange as a natural and even necessary force for evolution. This viewpoint argues that cultures have always borrowed from one another, and that this cross-pollination is vital for the development of art, food, and music. It highlights a disparity where the originators are penalized, while the adopters are rewarded.

There's also a sentiment expressed that this entire discourse might be a manufactured grievance, a search for reasons to be offended. This perspective suggests that the focus on appropriation is not rooted in genuine harm but in a desire to find fault.
